Minnesota Raises Kratom Purchase Age to 21 Under New Law

Minnesota is set to tighten kratom regulations on Aug. 1, when the legal age to buy and possess the substance rises from 18 to 21. The new rule also increases penalties for illegal sales and possession, according to a FOX 9 report.

The law marks a significant step in Minnesota’s effort to curb access to intoxicating substances that have drawn increased scrutiny from state and federal officials.
